Wow, we do not even know where to begin. Renee is a dream. Her personality is the spitting image of her mother. All of our friends continue to ask if she ever does not smile. Mommy has been so incredible with Renee and it has definately shown up in Renee as she is developing so incredibly and is just really enjoying life after 8 months of being here.
Things that have happened between September to now
Well when we last spoke Renee had just been baptised on September 3rd.
October 20 she giggled for the first time, and it happened with Aunt Sara.
October 27 she found her toes.
October 31st she had her first Halloween and this posed a problem as Stephanie had a little skeleton outfit for her and I had a half peeled banana outfit (which did not fit too well) at the end of my work day I came home to Stephanie forgetting all about the banana outfit and having Renee in her little Skeleton outfit, adorable but come on a half peeled banana, it was awesome, so I ran her upstairs and literally had to stuff Renee into it as it was a tiny bit too small, however with enough stuffing she fit no problem ;).
November 14th she got her front bottom Left tooth then on the 15th she rolled from her back to her front for the first time and on the 16th her second bottom tooth came in.
A childs first Christmas is always an exciting time so December was quite special but this one was extra special as she made a trip to nana and grandpas house for the first time.
December 5th - sat up for the first time
December 6th -ate her first baby cereal followed by her first cracker a couple days later
December 19th - she sat in a high chair for the first time and the following day she got some pureed butternut squash.
Then of course on the 25th Santa came and spoiled her with a jolly jumper and a whole lot of toys as well as some special time with her cousins.
In January, the training began, I figured it was her time, Renee is now training for the 2020 womens world cup. Her soccer skills are coming along, I am worried that she may become a goalie as she seems to like using her hands so much, however whenever there is a successful play she is ready to give you a high five (started on January 16th).
February has been a happening month as she had some beef stew, pasta, salmon, chicken and all sorts of veggies to go along with it. She now has three teeth in the top as well and is starting to pull herself to her feet as you see in some of the pics.
And as of two weeks ago, she started to crawl, very exciting and scary at the same time, you definately have to watch your back. This morning I bathed her and let her crawl around naked for a little while as she has a bit of a rash on her legs, well she got away from me and before I knew it there was a nice little pee on the carpet, oh the joys of being a papa.
As a family, things have been very exciting, Stephanie got right back into training clients again as well she began doing two classes, where she is able to bring Renee with her as it is "buggy bootcamp" and "me and mommy fit and fun (something like that)." So she does those classes during the day on Monday Wednesday and Friday.
Stephanie has decided to begin her own business at home so to go with that we have bought a new house and as of yesterday sold our current house. This will give us a couple more rooms and a fitness studio in particular so that Stephanie can start targeting those mothers that do not have a daycare or babysitter to rely on. The studio is going to have a small corner with childrens toys so that the kids have a place to play while the mommies train with Stephanie. We are both really excited for the move and it will be happening in the middle of April.
Myself, the greenhouse business is still rolling along, we got our new facility of Sweet bell peppers up and running and are already harvesting lots and lots of cucumbers. Should be an exciting year with business trips to both Alberta and Holland to see how things are done around the world.
It has been an excellent start to 2008, everyone is healthy, happy and excited about the rest of the year!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope everyone enjoys the many pics that I have included in this blog and I hope I get to this more often than every 6 months, it was not fair to you Ontarioites, I apologize for the delay.
All the best for the remainder of 2008
Love from Renee, Steph, and Ron

Sorry Gordon, I knew you were watching squirrels when I saw this picture- you are getting too predictable (sure enough I was right as the next picture was of the squirrel)

Stephanie and Renee's training classes - looks intense!
This used to be daddies playpen, it has worked wonders in her development and strength in her legs as she is able to grab ahold of the bars and pull herself up.
Stephanie held a first aid and CPR course for all the parents that she knows -very helpful of course

Oma had not seen her granddaughter in a few weeks, they change so quickly and learn so much, what a doll, we love her to pieces and so do many of our friends and family and that means the world to us as parents.
Thank you for all that everyone has done for us over this, the first year of Renee's life, it means the world to us and we know that Renee is going to benefit from all of the love that she receives from everyone.
