This ones full of belly violence, and the MacKenzie favorite POOP TALK

Good day, well today is the beginning of week 24. We both feel like our pregnancy experience is at a stand still. All of the blood tests that we have chosen to do for Steph have come back healthy, we have however chosen not to do the one which would tell you that you have a higher or lesser chance of having a healthy baby, and more often then not that test will just cause sleepless nights for nothing. The baby at this stage is 1 pound and approximately 20 cm's from crown to rump and the baby's eyelids and eyebrows are now well developed. Steph's uterus now extends about 1.5 inches above her belly button.

Since we talked last we have taken a wonderful trip to Mexico which the baby thoroughly enjoyed, and would go back every year. We knew the baby would rule our lives but I did not think that he/she would force us to go to Mexico every year. Another fund that we have to save for. I think that brings the fund list to 5 behind, the soccer fund, education fund, clothing fund, toy fund, and miscellaneous fund.

Our vacation was awesome and was really nice as we spent the trip with all of the Van Marrewyk family. This is the first time that we have all been able to get away together and enjoy eachothers company for a week straight since we all made my parent's empty nesters. It was so much fun to be in the sun and not to worry about anything except whether to go to the volleyball court or the ocean and for Steph it was to the salad buffet or the all day nacho buffet. No just kidding, the food was phenomenal the weather was great and the ocean wildlife really was cool. Anyway back to the baby.

Those little butterflies have turned into some serious action and the pressure that she gets on her bladder once in a while is not that enjoyable. The 'belly violence' consists of some serious rights and lefts and some random barrel rolls as well I am sure. I felt the baby the day we got back from Mexico and that was a real treat, now we can sit back once and a while and just watch the action take on some random shapes in Steph's belly

OH and then there is Stephanies belly button, I have my own rude name for it but you can have a look for yourself. Steph has always loved her belly button and now as it has truly popped out beyond her belly she is even more in love with it as it sticks out of every shirt.

Talking about clothing, Steph had quite the experience with shorts as we were packing for Mexico, shorts that fit three weeks before our trip were a good three inches from being buttoned closed the night before we left. We had to spring into action and find some hand-me-downs from somewhere so luckily her soccer coach was able to come through with a few pairs of shorts and capri's that were well used during our trip.

Stephanie also went to our midwife this past week and was able to get some exciting news on the poop front. There is a service here in the lower mainland where you can order cloth diapers and a cleaning and delivery service will pick up the yucky ones and replace them with new ones. We would always get our diapers back and everytime we would need a new size they would take back the small ones and replace them with the next size. The service works out to approximately the same price as regular diapers.

On that front, because of new fund added onto the list as of last week, we have opened a donation collection, I am able to take debit and credit cards you can do it through this website and the service is completely safe I guarantee, just put your credit card number and expiry date on a comment post and i will take that and take your desired donation. For those that are extremely gullible like Stephanie, please disregard that request ;).

Until next time enjoy the rest of the winter and beginning of the spring, we will talk to you soon.
