14 weeks 4 days

Seasons Greetings from the reasonable sized bump

Well half way through week 15 here and things are really starting to show. The baby is now approximately the size of a softball (sorry we had to move to sports balls as fruit just was not adequate enough anymore). Steph can no longer suck in her tummy to make it look like her usual self. The belly is protruding and there is no turning back now. I keep trying to listen for any sign of life in there but all I can hear is her ever hungry belly. We saw our midwife last week and we heard our babies heart beat roaring, it goes at a pretty fast pace so that was pretty cool. The doctors say that we should feel the baby by the end of this week so if the placenta would move a little bit so that we could in fact feel the baby then that would be great. Everything is healthy, Stephs energy level is really good.

Tomorrow December 22nd is travel day, Grandma and Grandpa MacKenzie as well as everyone else are getting a little itchy so we are making a trip out to spend a week and a half with them and share this awesome time with them as well. It is so hard to believe that we are already almost done week 15 of potentially 40.......so exciting. A picture should be coming pretty soon just be patient.

See you soon family MacKenzie

Its officially Official

Well today we are officially over the 12 week hump and beginning the second trimester. It has been so awesome all of the support that we have received from all of our friends and family. So what has happened between the last blog and today........

Well, Steph needed new clothes so last weekend we went and bought some wonderful 3-in-1 pants for her so that she will be forever comfy. Hopefully she doesn't get to comfy in them because she is really enjoying the elastic band that she can pull almost up to her chest. And then this week the need for new sweaters was needed because all of her current shirts do not cover the low-rise jeans and pants that she bought last weekend, so once again we took a trip out to Thyme Maternity in order to get a new wardrobe.....

Whatelse Whatelse, she has really begun to pop the past two days so that has been exciting, her tummy is nice and hard and we are definately cherishing every stage that she is hitting. The excitement is extremely overwhelming with both of us so we just can't stop thinking about what we can do now in order to prepare for later........

The baby room is all thought of and we have all of the colors for it, it will be a surprise when it is finished.

We are trying to think of some things that we can do that would help us remember the journey between today and the birth for the baby, so if anyone has some ideas with photos, or anything else please help us with that, most of you have more experience than we do so please share!!!!!

Lastly we had our ultrasound today and here are the results......

Heart rate was 158; normal is 100 to 200
Brain and neck structure looked good, you are already able to tell if there are any problems at this stage however the doctor said it looked good,
We saw the heart pumping which was awesome, and it already looks like we have ourselves a real goalscorer on our hands, the kid was bobbing and weaving like no other.
And of course we saw two arms and two legs and even got to see some digits on the left hand.

Hope all is well and enjoy the first picture of many that will follow.

The 12 week bump (or granny smith apple), it means the world to us as of today because we got to see, what is now, our little baby.

Love Ronald, Stephanie-Anne and the wee one.

P.S. the Ultrasound pics are adorable we will show you in a few weeks.
