Well today was the day that we decided to let the family know that we are going to be parents. The response has been as wonderful as we expected.
We are now 10 weeks today and doing well, no sickness just tiredness. We are enjoying the time and taking it easy so that we can make it to the 12 week goal.
Oh and the fruit of the week this week is a kiwi.........so enjoy.
Love Ron and Steph

Our thoughts before telling everyone we are expecting
After finding out on October 8th that we were indeed pregnant it has been nothing short of impossible for us to keep our mouths quiet about what is too become 'the Van Marrewyk Family.' Ahhhhhhhh we're expecting how cool is that.
Steph has been a trooper through the first 7 weeks, she was extremely tired and man those cravings were out of this world. PICKLED ANYTHING, in one week she went through three jars, from straight pickles to pickled beets and beans, Ron was just glad to get those pickled beets out of the fridge so actually this pregnancy was a blessing in disguise lol :).
So a brief history of where we are today. Today is November 11, 2006. We conceived on September 10, 2006 making tomorrow the end of week 9. We have already decided to go with a Midwife through our pregnancy, as well she will be around for 6 weeks after the birth. The lady that we have chosen is from England so we think we found someone where this whole midwifry program was founded.....WE ARE IN GOOD HANDS.
What happened this week, in the belly? Well apparently, the embryo is now officially a fetus and that fetus is already 2.5 cm or the size of a strawberry...........our life stages are going to be termed the "Fruit of the Womb." The fetus' home is also about the size of a grapefruit or a little larger. We have also begun to feel a ridge that goes from her belly button down, but this can only be seen if she leans way back.
One last comment for this posting, You should see Steph's guns, they were not lying!!!!!!!!!!
