Hello Hello
I know it has been a while since I last wrote but it definately has not been because of lazyness. Our house is inching closer and closer to completion and it is already at a point where Stephanie and I are able to sit back and enjoy the few weeks that we have left of our pregnancy, but we owe alot of this to two very special people who decided to pay us a visit, and that is momma and pappa MacKenzie. For the past 4 Weeks I have been keeping a secret from my lovely wife. Shirley (Stephs mom) called me to let me know that they wanted to come down and see us as well as Sara and Chad out on the island between May 11 and the 19th. Because I got the info first I told Shirley that I was going to keep it a secret and I was going to plan that Stephanie would have as much of the week off as possible so that they could spend a special week together. To make a long story short, everything worked out great, Steph was shocked.
The week was so incredible for all of us involved, the parents got to see their kids and in-laws and we got to spend a good week where they could just chill out and help us get things ready. It was amazing how much we were able to accomplish while they were here and it will definately help us to be able to enjoy our time together alot sooner than expected. I personally don't think that their holiday was much of one as we definately put them to work for most of the week.
It seems like the belly is changing daily and it was definately fun to see the excitement that Steph's parents had when they laid their hands on her tummy. We have now been able to figure out the position of the baby at all times. For the past month or two the babies head has been down and we are able to feel whether the back and bum is on the left side or the right side of her uterus. At the end of the pregnancy you would like to have the baby on the left side of uterus and at this very moment the baby is on the right side.
Steph is working two shifts a week now and then training a handful of people multiple times each week as well. She is of course feeling well and still enjoying the pregnancy. So our bags are packed for the hospital, our car seat is in the car and the baby room is set. We have come to realize that all of these preparations are done but the most important ingredient is still missing, although we can feel the little critter we have nothing to clean up after, look after, and of course love.
This may be the last written blog before the birth so we just want to thank everyone for their love and support, the kind words and sometimes those demands of specific body shots were all greatly appreciated. It is an experience that we can not wait to do again but hey lets get this one over with first and enjoy the upcoming challenges and joys in order to bring a new life into this world.
Thank you for experiencing this with all three of us it was a blast, on to the postnatal blog, commencing once the madness settles down and we are able to get some sleep and enjoy the birth of our first baby!!!!!!!!!!
Heres to a healthy baby and a smooth birth
