Preparation work for the new addition is the excuse

Well hello,

So the word on the street is that a lot of you are upset with me because I have not updated you guys on the baby progress. Well since we have last 'blogged' we have been extremely busy with the house and well we have proof. The baby room is done, most of the items to raise a baby have been purchased and we are shortening our list of things to do quite quickly which is quite exciting. All I know is that we are missing one key ingredient and I am not a patient man so all I can say is can we just teleport forward ten weeks and have our baby already. Steph and I are so excited it is not even funny.

On Stephanie's front, she is doing absolutely fantastic. I have honestly not heard a peep out of her about anything, this mother to be is absorbing every last moment of the experience. She laughs and enjoys all of the kicks and tickling that is occurring within her ever growing tummy. And well my trooper of a wife is still working away at the house for me as well which I can not thank her enough for. We have over 80 baseboards that are 16 feet long each and she is painting every last one of them so that they are ready for me to cut up and put around the house. She is down to about 2 1/2 shifts a week plus a lot of training with those special clients. She has also signed up to start teaching a class in August that will be called "Buggy Bootcamp" that way she can take the baby, the stroller and "go to town" with the ladies and newborns in order to get everyone fit again.

Okay so now to a more organized blog session. The baby is 30 weeks today and doing all the activities within her tummy that we have been just waiting to feel. It is just incredible the flips, punches, tickling, kicks (especially bicycle kicks), and headers that the baby is performing. The baby is now 3 lbs ( double that from 6 weeks ago) and about 27 cm from crown to rump and 38 cm in total length. the baby from this point forward should be gaining a solid 1/2 lb a week so Steph is really going to change in the upcoming 10 weeks.

From the doctor, things are still sounding extremely healthy with the heart beat and Stephanie has had one more blood test and it has come back good again so we will just wait out the ten weeks and I can not wait for the day.

We started our Prenatal classes this past week as well. We got to see what the MEN are in for and well all I know is damnit I am up for the challenge. We all hear about the joys of the women having to birth and well us men have to be there equally each step of the way. I am pumped, the lady teaching said that the mens participation will dictate how well the labour is going to go. So to all you future papas, its time for us to do up our work boots and giver' because damnit Stephanie is going to have the best lasting memory possible and that is my responsibility. Wow emotions, I can't wait for this moment, writing this just gets me going, we are so ready to be parents it is not even funny!!!!!! The moments of pain, joy, laughter, and sheer pleasure that we are about to experience is something that could not come sooner.

On that note, heres some pics of the progress that we have had on the house and of course the belly.

I would like to introduce you to the newest addition to our family, This is BOB, BOB is a world renowned jogging stroller, built to last and built to sooth the lightest of baby sleepers. We are hoping BOB will help keep the crying to a minimum.

This is the toy storage unit, but I think I have to clear my wet bar because I don't think it will be too good to have the alcohol to close to the toy centre, I don't know boys what do you think?? Move it or keep it, I need some feedback on this one!!!!!!!!

Now the baby room, well i think the pics speak for itself, we are so happy with it. Steph got her Boyd's Bear bedding and all of the little figurines that Ingrid Mason has given her are there as well as you can see in the picture down below. I have been searching high and low for frogs because whats a baby room without some cute little FROGS. Its gonna be done I need to spice it up a little, no room of mine will have "cute" tied to it and unfortunately I think we are at the cute stage!!!!!!!! Boys am I right.

And last but not least, here is the belly, and of course my lovely wife.

Happy Easter everyone

Ron, Stephanie, and our three lb bump

You guys have the coolest crap already for the baby!! I want a ride in BOB!!!
Seriously, you will be able to get some crazy runs in with that thing - i hope it comes a major harness to strap wee-van marrewyk in!
And, i love the nursery. Again, somewhere that i would gladly call home, although i think i'll need the bed to be a bit larger, so if you kids can work on that asap that would be great!! jj
The colours are perfect - a little boy or a little girl will feel very secure in the yellows and blues.
Smack, your belly - HOLY COW YOU HAVE A CHILD IN THERE!!! Wow! And yet, i bet that if you stood with your back facing me, i wouldn't even know that you were preggers. You look AMAZING and have a very nice mommy glow to you already.
Talk to you guys soon - hugs and kisses to the future Beckham!
